Men’s Groups

Yokefellows 1: Wednesdays, 8:15 PM, Room P107, Pastor Paul

Yokefellows is a discipleship group designed to equip and encourage men to embrace God’s call on their lives as believers, husbands, fathers, and leaders. Yokefellows 1 will introduce men to the spiritual disciplines needed to CULTIVATE a growing relationship with God. In addition, men will enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded men in our church and develop skills needed to effectively CARE for the lost around us. 12 sessions, Cost: $40.

Yokefellows 2: Wednesdays, at 6:30 PM, Room P107, Pastor Paul

Yokefellows 2 builds upon Yokefellows 1 through continued support and encouragement in growing in Christ. In addition, men will be better equipped to lead their families and love their wives. 12 sessions, Cost: $25

Women’s Groups

Do you want to be a more authentic Christian? Do you ever wonder what life would be like if you could totally surrender every area to God? Seven Areas of Life Training® (SALT) is a discipleship series designed to teach God’s plan for living victoriously in the seven areas of life: spiritual, psychological, social, physical, financial, marital and parental.

 

This unique discipleship curriculum will guide you to give God total control of your life and equip you with the ability to share His love with others. This is a 28 week commitment that will require you to be in attendance, complete a weekly lesson, do some light memory work each week and participate in small group discussion & activities.

Continuing SALT groups will continue through Books 5, 6, & 7 beginning Wednesday evening, September 8, in your small group room at 6:30 with graduation on December 8.

 

New SALT groups will begin on Wednesday evening, September 8 at 6:30 in Room 201 (top of stairs in Children’s Wing by the elevator).

New SALT members please register in the Atrium on Aug 29, Sept 1, or Sept 5. Cost will be $33.00 due at registration. This group will break for Christmas vacation and reconvene in January and work toward completion in mid-May.

A Virtuous Woman: Shattering the Superwoman Myth, Thursdays, 9:30 AM, Room 104, Debbie Douglas (Begins October 7th)

This 6 session study of Proverbs 31 reveals the heart and character of a godly woman showing how to become a woman of worth, wisdom, and purpose.
Childcare available by registration and for a weekly fee of $3 per child, $5 family max. Cost: $10 for the workbook.

 

Open Groups

Prayer Meeting and Bible Study, Wednesdays, 6:30 PM, Worship Center with Pastor Tom

Join us in the Worship Center each week to pray and study God’s Word.

Divorce Care, Wednesdays, 6:30 PM, Room PS103, Scott VanWey

Separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences some people ever face. It can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about issues you’ve never faced before. We want to help you on your journey toward recovery. You don’t have to make this journey alone! Cost: $12

 

Crown Biblical Financial Study, begins Tuesday, September 14th

This semester offers a financial study group on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 PM at the home of Jose and Clara Berrios, 735 Briarcreek Rd, 32225. This course is a 10 week in-depth study of what Scripture teaches about money and possessions. An Orientation Session will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 7th, at the Berrios’ home.
Also a course will be offered on Wednesdays at the church beginning Sept. 8th should a sufficient number of participants register in room P104.

 

There are four requirements for group members: Daily prayer, memorize one assigned Scripture each week, complete homework assignments (approximately 2 hours of homework per week), and attend a minimum of 8 classes.
The cost is $36 for couples and $26 for singles. Group size is limited.

Celebrate Recovery, Tuesdays, 6:30 PM, Room 201, Jason Borek (Open Group)

For over 14 years, CR has been used by God to help hundreds of thousands of people with “hurts, habits, and hang ups” to turn a new page in life. Based on eight principles from Matthew 5, your life can be different! Cost: $0

 

ESL, Wednesdays, 6:30 PM, Room P101, Roy and Norma Anderson (Open Group)

Do you know someone who would like to learn to speak English? English as a Second Language (ESL) will utilize the Bible as the primary textbook for assisting people to learn to speak and understand the English language. Cost: $25.00

 

Understanding End Times, Wednesdays, 6:30 PM, Room 104, Lowell Weddington and Bill Chick (Open Group)

Participants will learn details and views regarding to the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgments and resurrections, as well the millennial kingdom.
