You may have noticed the recycling bin in our parking lot. The Student Ministry is joining with Paper Retriever to help fund future events. There is no cost in storing a bin on site and we as a ministry receive 100% of the recycled funds generated through this program.

In the month of September, we will be doing a paper drive for the surrounding neighborhoods. We will get information out asking residents to store their recyclable papers until the date in September at which time the students will go around and pick the paper up from neighborhoods. This will give us face time with the community and put people on notice that we have a recycling bin here @Faithbridge Church. Qualifying Paper Products: Newspaper, Magazines, Shopping Catalogs, Office and School Paper, Mail. Please stay tuned for more information.

FaithBridge Student Ministry

Faithbridge Student Ministry exist for the sole purpose of glorifying the name of JESUS! We are a ministry that believe Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. We believe that being a Christ follower is more than just words, it is a lifestyle. I read this amazing book and one of the statements referenced the narrow gate and the narrow road, which rang loud and clear to me. This is what it said:

"Christian man was on his way to the Kingdom, walking on the narrow road. One day he noticed two other men climbing over the wall that runs along the narrow road. Christian man new something was wrong with this so he went over and met the two men (Formalist & Hypocrisy). Like Christian man, they insisted they were on there way to the Kingdom as Christian was. Christian mad seen this as problematic since the only legitimate way to get on the narrow road is to walk through the narrow gate (which symbolizes repentance and faith in Jesus Christ). Christian man never afraid to get straight to the point then asks, "Why came you not in at the gate?" The men quickly explain that the people of their country think the gate is too far away, and so they decided long ago "to make a short-cut of it. Besides they argue, if we make it onto the path, what's it matter which way we got in? If we are in, we are in. You are on the path, and you came in a the gate; we are on the path, and we clinbed over the wall. So how are you any better off than we are?"

Friends, there is no shortcut to salvation. Our culture today is instant gratification. Salvation does not come that way. Here at Faithbridge Student Ministry, we want to the students to work out their faith with fear and trembling. We want to hold the light of Jesus so the darkness will have to flee. We weclome all who are lost, all who are seeking and all who are ready to glorify the name of Jesus.

I Am A Student In Your Ministry

Back in October of 2010 we had an amazing night during "Crash" where our students took a moment to jot down any prayer request(s), personal issues, etc. that they wanted to lay down at the foot of the cross. Sometimes we look at Students and only see the outside, tough, I have everything undercontrol attitude, when deep down inside they are broken and screaming out for help. We must meet this younger generation right where they are! There are two links below. One is the night the this document was in motion, the second link is the words that were on many post it notes. Please join me in praying and reaching out to the Students "RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW"!
